LouBou Drools =)....
I've been browsing the Spring/Summer collections for this year, and I've noticed like most spring/summer seasons, the colors consisted of many lively colors to really brighten up the atmosphere for some dark economic times ahead. I truthfully don't understand the logic reasoning behind the color scheme considering the consumers who would afford these kinds of apparel normally should never worry about their financial state or of the finances of anyone else who live with no finances to even manage. Here's a few that have caught my eye so far.
An oldie classic but a goodie, how prettty must you be shoes??? I would wear you anywhere! except to long walks or even shopping...definitely no..but I still find you lovely~~

BarStar!
I found one that wasn't blurry! yay~!

Unfortunately, there must've been a finger print on my friend's camera..the left side turned out blurry =(
Lastnight, I went out for yummy crabs with my parents and the lover! after that, a night out on the town with my fave girls! We normally celebrate outings at a Bar and despite the fact that I normally feel as though I'm way too old for the bar scene..for pure nostalgic purposes it sometimes does make me feel young again. However the main reasons I agree to attend to these just turned 18 events is that I really enjoy dressing up in outfits that are normally unfit for the casual outing. I must live young for as long as possible until I realize that I no longer carry the energy to get ready for 2 hours, and prance about in 12cm heels for another 3 wearing more than tight fitting clothes that accentuates any bump and lump if i don't suck that in! We do dance giving it a plus 1 but then again, it's normally followed by large consumptions of sugary alcohol shots which gives it a minus 3. Not to mention, alcohol doesn't allow me to sleep! the reason why I'm writing this blog at 8:30am, ridiculous hour to be still up. Physically exhausted, but wired mentally..GaH! someone knock me out!
All in all, I must say I had a fabulous time but what makes it that much more, is coming home to the one that makes me feel most at ease with myself for who I am. The person that loves me even when I wear aladdin sweat pants and stained, ripped oversized t-shirts. His mere presence brings warmth and tranquility even to the coldest and most fervid of days. I'm feeling extra grateful to him today. Perhaps it's the alcohol talking..
in any case..
Love you boo.

GoooD morning!
After having so little sleep the day before, one would imagine a deep relaxing rest that would follow come the night! but I couldn't even sleep last night! I'm currently running on 4hrs so don't mind me if I'm experiencing a slight case of brain fartage. It happens time to time when I'm feeling a little over restless.
To start off today, I'de like to talk about last night! If you've read my earlier posts, you would've known that it was the first day of class. I'de like to begin by venting a little bit about my prof. He is an older...gentleman and don't get me wrong, I find some older generations to be quite charming and easy to love. Some just age gracefully while others become a tad bit senile. Now I'm not one to discriminate but I've had my fair share of experiences to know that it holds some sense of truth. I can understand to a degree as to some of the factors that may contribute to such a development but in majority, living out certain stereotypes are really our own doing. We can't control everything, but we should control what we can! Anyhow, he's a tad bit slow and it feels as though he believes everyone else is as well! As a result, the class goes by extremely slow(understatement, literally!). I understand if in history it showed a certain concept to be difficult for comprehension but c'mon now. Everyone in post secondary should know simple math and if they don't, they honestly don't belong in that classroom to begin with! Let's move along and learn something NEW!
In hopes of saving a buck or two and gaining some experience for future reference, I've been around the kitchen alot.. Last night, I made spaghetti with a premade sauce and added some personal touches, I haven't really tried it yet but it smells promising! I have long ways to go in terms of making myself a valuable candidate around the kitchen but I'm learning such simple recipes that are actually 100000000 times better than eating out. I've been eating out for most of my life and I'm just sick and tired of salty, sugary, artificial, artery clogging junk that I can't believe people have the heart to sell for people to eat. However, it is one thing to sell..and another for us to go purchase and eat so I don't blame anyone but myself. Last night, I found out that chicken wraps will now be included as one of my staples along with pho! Mmm mMMm...is it lunch time yet? I want a wrap! I also made pancakes this morning, haha yes..it was also premade "just add water" type but baby steps mon cheri, baby steps! I'll soon get into making things from scratch which I'm super excited about!
Another evening class to tackle tonite! I'm hoping that I enjoy my prof. I guess there won't be much to do about it even if I didn't cept piss n moan like a little sissy.
LoOKINg FORWARD to WARMER WEATHER THIS WEEK! hooray!

TiReD...
In an attempt to correct my entirely effed up sleeping schedule, I have decided to stay up all day! Unfortunately it also happens to be my first day of class starting at 6pm-9pm. So far, my day isn't looking into unicorns and rainbows for it will be one long day. To help me pass time in a more entertaining manner, this morning I tried on outfits I purchased early this winter and I'm proud to say that I've managed to come up with some nifty ideas to enhance my looks! I would definitely post up some pictures, but I haven't mastered this whole blogging sabbatical yet. It's weird because I remember myself being one of those html nerds! what had happened?! I suppose I'm completely out of practice and let's be honest. HTML is really alot of "COPY" and "PASTE". If one of you tell me that you memorize all the HTML mumbo jumbo broken english text, I will straight out call you a liar! Sure! I recall simple programming such as < src = "url"> <> etc, but for my own prides sake don't grill me into believing your really a nerd. =D I admit, one of these days when I have the strength and patience I will undoubtedly give my blog space an uplifting makeover. In the meantime, I'll gladly give credit to Mr. Douglas Bowman for this completely generic layout! TY~

My skin care routine.
If any of you have had the mentally dibilitating struggle with acne, you are definitely not alone. I've spent countless hours in front of the computer screen trying to find a way to tame my skin and luckily I have found my answer. The key is regular and constant care. Unfortunately I've been told numerous times that acne is not a curable illness. It will come back once you stop treatment. However, there have been cases where flare ups have been significantly reduced after treatment and that is with the help of accutane. Accutane is a pill derived from vitamin A that can cause permanent damage to your oil glands. Damaged oil glands cannot perform its function therefore it produces less sebum (oil) and by producing less, the less food the P.Acne bacteria have to feed and thrive, reducing the inflammations that are associated with a clogged pore. However, Accutane can lead to scary side effects such as depression, severely dry skin, resulting in deformities of a fetus while taken during pregnancy and much more. Bottom line, I would consider Accutane to be my final line of defense against acne. I've never had the courage to take this route, but for those of you who suffer from severe cystic acne, it may be an answer.
Inorder for you to decide whether if my regimen would be beneficial to your skin I'll start off by mentioning my skin conditions.
Oily
Flaky (due to the use of BHA & Tretinoin)
Prone to freckels once exposed to sunlight
large pores around my cheeks
clogged pores
Daytime
Cleanser: Dove Cool Moisture cream cleanser
exfoliate: In shower- scrub my face with a face towel to remove flakes
Out of shower-Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid
lotion: Clinique's Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Time moisturizer for Oily to Combination skin
Sunscreen: Clinique's Super Defense SPF 25
Nighttime
Cleanser: Dove Cool Moisture cream cleanser
Exfoliate: Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid
Wait 1/2 hr for face to dry.
Treatment: 0.5% Tretinoin Cream
If my face feels taute and raw after 1/2 hr, I also apply my Clinique's moisturizer on top.
The use of a gentle cleanser is a must but it is also just as important to remove all of the make up that has been applied to the face. Harsh cleansers are always a no-no for it may cause too much irritation. Irritation = acne & damage
Toners are only good for the removal of excess makeup your cleanser did not remove. However, if you feel that toners are a must, stay away from alcohol based toners for they dry out the skin as well as cause free radical damage. Free radical dmg = one of the causes of aging skin
note: What are Free Radicals?
Free Radicals are molecules that have missing electron(s) in its outer most shell rendering it unstable. As you probably learned from chemistry, an unstable molecule will grab electrons from other sources to reach its stability. It is theorized, due to the constant presence of free radicals in the body through pollution and the chemical processes which occur throughout the day such as digesting your lunch, it will grab electrons from surrounding molecules creating a chain of damaging events. The causes of free radical damage are oxygen or any compound that contains an oxygen molecule, such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and superoxide) plus sunlight, and pollution.
Exfoliation is necessary inorder to help our skin shed its dull dead skin cells revealing the lustrous skin underneath. Exfoliation is known to help cell turnover as well lessen the possibility of clogged pores for the dead skin cells are removed before clogging the pore lining. BHA's are particularly good for people suffering from clogged pores because they are lipid soluble and may help in clearing out a pore and as well are considered to be a mild antibiotic. AHA's are water soluble and are excellent for people suffering from dry skin.
When choosing a moisturizer, it is crucial you choose an antioxidant rich formula which combats free radical damage as well as cell communicating ingredients, skin identical ingredients that aid in the skin acting its best.
Sunscreen is a must for the sun is known to be one of the major causes of aging skin. Make sure your sunscreen gives you both UVA and UVB protection. Wear it everyday!
Tretinoin is also a derivative of Vitamin A that binds to a receptor site in a cell telling it to act more normally, other than replicating a damaged cell. Tretinoin also speeds up the cell turnover rate as well causing slight damages to your oil glands. There are several names for this medicine which all have similarities in terms of function. Tazorac & Adapalene.

A very welcome to me!
Hello everyone!
I've decided to start a blog regarding my daily rambles and events. I would normally consider myself to be an extreme introvert and I usually do not let my thoughts known. However, this is my attempt to change that as well as to keep some form of a diary for myself to enjoy later on. I have a history of disappearing into the moon quite often so once again, I'm hoping to pry myself away from my bad habit and apply myself in things on a regular basis.
For starters, a little about myself.
I've almost reached my quarter life and truthfully I'm not at the place I had imagined myself to be at this age. Perhaps I'm a late bloomer in terms of acknowledging responsibility and acquiring inspiration to move forward in life. I have switched into many majors in my post secondary to realize my final career decision into Human Resources. I'm starting school this week and I'm pretty determined to stick to it this time for I don't have many choices left and refuse to be stuck at school until I'm 40. We'll see how this battle with myself will last. In the meantime, I plan on taking a part time job at a bank for I believe will contribute well to my field. It also helps that I have several friends already working there so yes, having connections definitely makes life easier.
I've happily been in a relationship with my boyfriend for the past 6 years. He's more than I could ever ask for in a guy. Keep in mind, no one is perfect and there's always room for minor tweaks here and there but maybe it's because we've been together for such a long time, I've learned to accept him and love him for who he is. He has helped me grow and be whole. As mentioned in the movie "Juno", he is the cheese to my macaroni.
Now, what are my interests and hobbies? I do enjoy learning about a healthier living and maintaining my youth. My friends mention how I can specialize in skin care. I'm an active member of makeupalley.com and love reading about all of the latest scientific findings and getting down into the itty gritty science of it all! I'm not nearly as far in as I'de like to be but in comparison to the general public, I'm a little proud to say I do know more than most. I also just recently kicked myself out of a bad gaming addiction for World of Warcraft but I'm guessing I'll most likely get hooked into another game sooner or later. I'm seriously contemplating the purchase of Little Big Planet. I hear too many good reviews and it doesn't help that I have a friend who already owns and loves the game! Anyhow, other than that.. I'd have to say I belong to the short minded public of the superficial girls who love labels and purses. I just can't help it! I completely agree that it's just ridiculous and downright stupid spending over $1000 for a purse, I also agree that owning that type of material never makes an individual shine where it counts..despite my constant struggle between logic and emotion I'm still ashamed to say that 50% of the time, my emotions win and I enjoy it! So bare with me, it sometimes may seem as though the attic is empty but again, this blog is for whatever my choosing and if anyone might find it mildly entertaining, it would've fulfilled its purpose.
Enjoy!
